I’ll tell you the Chad News First
Spent most of the weekend in Salem for the Massachusetts Poetry Festival. Left and walked through Boston. While I didn’t actually touch grass, I did walk across plenty of it in the Boston Public Garden. It did me a lot of good. Wish I could go back there today.
I am melancholy. Those of you follow me on social media will figure out why by the end of the week if you haven’t already.
Go easy on me. I sure won’t.
Stone Soup Poetry
Last week, Stone Soup celebrated it’s fifty second anniversary in all its lack of spendor. Read the Stone Soup Croutons poem from that week, “Not Writing Again.”
Another all-open mic this week. Maybe after tonight, I’ll be able to plan bigger things.
Oddball Magazine
Click here for poetry by Emma Wells, James Lawson Moore and Peter F. Crowley. Props to artists Richard Paul Davis, Edward Michael Supranowicz and photographer Edward S. Gault.
In the world of comics, Geoffrey Fallon’s “The Secrets of Skinny People” goes into its new season hard and Anne Skove handles her current foot injury nicely. We also introduce Andrew Newall in this week’s Comics Spotlight.
Jason Wright was once again the first of our poet columnists. James Van Looy returns Thursday with James Van Looy. Friday has Janet Cormier and Bruce Wise. No surprises, I think, until June. Hope for many things to happen in June.
