I’ll Tell You the Chad News First
On Sunday, I worked for a few hours on poetry stuff.
You have no idea how unthinkable that has been for the last half year.
Nearly every Sunday I’ve been collapsing on either the couch or the bed, barely able to do house chores.
Maybe it’s me growing older, maybe my urge to hibernate is out of control. Thing is, I’ve been the exact opposite of a Sunday writer.
Last Sunday, I forced myself to stay on the computer for about two to three hours.
It helped that I was determined to keep up with National Poetry Writing Month over the weekend.
That screen time made all the difference this current week.
Monday through Friday, I am up between four or five in the morning and between my job, my writing and organizing activities, I stay up until about ten or eleven. You would think I wouldn’t need to do anything poetry related on a Sunday, but damn does it help. Makes me feel less tired now, if that makes any sense.
Stone Soup Poetry
March 22 was the all open mic at the Assemblage Gallery. Read the Stone Soup Croutons poem from that week, “Daylight Shavings.”
On March 29, we celebrated the end of March with Frances Donovan. Read the Stone Soup Croutons poem “Single Life.”
Tonight, we have Karen Friedland featuring. I made the announcement on Sunday, and it already feels like the most anticipated feature of the year. Don’t miss out.
Oddball Magazine
Click here to read poems this week by Laura Klein, Jeff Taylor and Noah Berlatsky.
On Monday, or comics continued with “The Secrets of Skinny People” by Geoffrey Fallon and “She Who Laughs Lasts” with Anne Skove. Joshua Eric Williams was our guest for our latest installment of Oddball Stories. Jason Wright kept his Jagged Thoughts poem column going, and we’re ready to run James Van Looy’s tomorrow (It’s All One Thing. Janet Cormier’s Bamboozled No More! and Bruce Wise’s Wise Words continue on Friday. Additional surprises? Stay tuned.

Also, check out the NaPoWriMo website, and submit your blog or website if you're using one to share your poems.
And, of course, keep an eye on this link to see every poem I post for April.
