Chad Parenteau's Lost Causes, 3-13-24
The light at the end of the tunnel is coming right for me!
I’ll tell you the Chad News First
Had an injury over the weekend. Could barely walk or form coherent thoughts for most of the week. Doing much better now.
Hit the ground walking on Monday. Now I’m taking up indoor biking.
That doesn’t seem ominous, does it? At least not as ominous as me taking up bike riding outdoors.
Stone Soup Poetry
Last week’s features Philip J. Curtis and John Chance Acevedo were wonderful. Read last week’s Stone Soup Croutons poem, “Trial Period.”
Stop by tonight as Don Kingfisher Campbell flies to our virtual podium.
And on Thursday
I'm reading with Tatiana Johnson-Boria and Emmanuel Oppong-Yeboah tomorrow on March 14 at the Menino Arts Center in Hyde Park. Click here for more information.
Oddball Magazine
Click here to read poetry by Susan Isla Tepper, Claudia Wysocky and Jeffery Berg. Amazing photography and artwork by Glenn Bowie, Bonnie Matthews Brock and Ira Joel Haber.
Mike Mesterton-Gibbons graced us with another timely poem. Also, we got a great combination of comics with Geoffrey Fallon (“The Secrets of Skinny People”), Anne Skove (“She Who Laughs Lasts”) and Andrew Newall in this week’s Comics Spotlight. Jason Wright had a very good Jagged Thought poem column this week. Tomorrow, we have James Van Looy (It’s All One Thing), Janet Cormier (Bamboozled No More!) and Bruce Wise (Wise Words). Let’s see if I can tag a surprise on at the end of the week.
Another Walk of Shame Piece
Tuesday Poem Fifty-Six is up on my Patreon for paid subscribers.
The Week That Was for March 4-8
We’re back. God help us all, we’re back.
Work That Matters
I'm happy to announce the release of These Days no. 26 from Jeff Blackman and Horsebroke Press. This issue of Blackman's zine was made with contributions on the theme of work. Proud to have my poetry alongside contributions from Elisha May Rubacha, Brecken Hancock and Ian Martin. Click here to order your copy and consider subscribing.
More Little Monsters Coming
My Comic Book Haiku on Ultimate Spider-Man #2 is up now at The Ugly Monster.

Check out my website and get a lot of the news before it winds up in this email. Also includes links to my other social media.
Check my blog out for exclusive content and poetry news not related to Stone Soup.
Submitting a piece for Medium, which is the new home of my Chad Wants to Know series. New entry coming soon.
Provided it doesn’t get banned this weekend, I’ll be using TikTok to document Southie’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.
More coming to the Patreon. I promise. Hope to upload more tomorrow.
Thanks for reading down this far.
