I’ll Tell You the Chad News First
To much going on in the world. A lot going on behind the scenes.
Nothing has directly happened to me me. Not yet, hopefully not ever.
I can only proceed as planned and hope for the best for all my friends and loved ones.
I’m working on more words, more work. Not going away without a fight.
Buy My Two Books (please)
My two collections All’s Well Isn’t You and Cant Republic: Erasures and Blackouts are available for purchase.
All’s Well has been called “[a]stunning work of original poetry that delves into the Bukowski-esque nether-regions of the psyche and comes up shining with a rollicking, stunned silence of the three-in-the morning, whiskey-soaked poetic journey into the hazy memory of yesterday.” Order it here.
Cant Republic was recently called “an interesting, provocative, and ultimately terrifying rumination on the words of one of the most divisive figures in modern politics.” Order it here.
I appreciate your support.
Stone Soup Poetry
Stone Soup was fun last week. Read the latest Stone Soup Croutons poem, “Headlines in Waiting.”
Another all-open mic tonight, but come back next week as well for Ari Whipple’s feature on the twelfth.
Oddball Magazine
Click here to read poetry by Sarah LaRiviere, Alan Lake and Matthew Roberson with visual art by Edward Michael Supranowicz, Luis Lázaro Tijerina and Bill Wolak. Thanks also to Ken Kakareka for kicking off Monday with two timely poems with an assist from photographer Bonnie Matthews Brock. Thanks also to Richard Spisak for his poetry and artwork, cartoonist Anne Skove (“She Who Laughs Lasts”) and returning Oddball Stories contributor Ian C Smith.
Jason returned with his Jagged Thoughts poem column. We are having WordPress related difficulties but will still have James Van Looy (It’s All One Thing), Janet Cormier (Bamboozled No More!), and Bruce Wise (Wise Words).
Coming Attractions
"#ReleaseTheTrumpCut" is my contribution to Indolent Books' Second Coming, an ongoing poem-a-day series focusing on the second Trump administration. Thanks to Editor and Publisher Michael Broder for including my work today.
My Work Appears in dadakuku 2
The second annual anthology of the online minimalist/absurdist poetry journal dadakuku collects the entirety of its 2024 output along with a foreword from publisher petro c.k. and an introduction by fellow dadakuku alum Noah Berlatsky. I'm proud to have twelve of my micropoems included in this collection, sharing such space with other poets such as Rich Boucher, Patricia Carragon, Roberta Beach Jacobson, Marjorie Pezzoli and many more.
